In this episode of The Inclusive Dad podcast, host AAron welcomes Roman Wyden, life coach and host of ADHD IS OVER. Roman shares his journey of questioning his son’s ADHD diagnosis, choosing not to medicate, and focusing on creating a calmer, safer family environment. He explains how stress, trauma, and environmental factors influence behavior, and why addressing the “nervous system of the family” can transform outcomes. Together, they discuss parental intuition, the dangers of labels, and the importance of seeing all people as whole humans. This inspiring conversation challenges conventional thinking and offers hope for families navigating neurodiversity.

Key Takeaways:

Parental Intuition – Trusting your gut can lead to better decisions for your child’s well-being.

Family System Calm – Reducing household stress can lessen ADHD-like behaviors.

Beyond Labels – Diagnoses shouldn’t define a child’s identity or future.

Environmental Impact – Trauma and overstimulation can shape behavior more than genetics.

Inclusion Mindset – See every individual as a whole human, not just their challenges.

Roman's definition of inclusion:

Inclusion is when we as humanity finally realize that there is no separation, that we should already be all inclusive no matter who someone is, what they're dealing with, what they do and who they are.
